COMMUNICATION design

done right.

What’s Nudgeup?

Consultants in communication design and previous creators of pro-social nudges.

At NudgeUp, we are specialised in using behaviour change psychology to boost your communication effectiveness to clients/customers and designing behaviour change campaigns for pro-social purposes.

Our past work includes a wide range of projects, from encouraging healthy eating behaviour to increasing work place efficiency.

The person behind NudgeUp.

After earning an MSc in Psychological Research from Bangor University, focusing on behaviour change, Leigh Cooper decided that he wanted to take the skills he had learnt and apply them. In 2015, he created NudgeUp with the aim of applying behavioural science principles to tackle real-world problems. Eight years later and he is still busy helping individuals, social enterprises, charities, and businesses with their behaviour change projects.

PROJECTS

Effective communication design is what drives our work. We help our clients apply behaviour change principles to their project and take them step by step throughout the whole process; from analysing the behavioural problem and identifying the perfect solutions.

We adapt our process to fit the needs of the client’s project. Whether it be behavioural design or pure consultation. Our aim is to ensure you are given the tools to easily and effectively apply behavioural principles to your own projects.

What’s involved with our work:

  • Identifying barriers that are causing the behaviour change problems.

  • Highlighting the key facets of your consumer market segment.

  • Training in how to design and deliver your own communication strategies.

  • Designing solutions that fit your project needs.

  • Aiding with the implementation and providing the tools for the client to continue the work.

Some examples of our work:

Together For Childhood Together For Childhood is a campaign being ran by the NSPCC in Ernesettle (Plymouth, UK) that aims to engage the community in healthy relationship behaviours. We were asked to design the campaign materials using nudge theory to help boost engagement.
